I was in a church members meeting a few years ago. It was the first one I’d been to, I was about 13 at the time. I was hoping to get a greater view of the inner workings of the church as a body of people.

It’s one thing knowing you have a gift or talent.
It’s totally another thing growing that gift or talent.

How do we grow in these talents?
Sow. Cultivate. Reap.
Sow time, sow ideas, sow thoughts, sow friends, sow relationships with wise people, sow relationships with those who can mentor, sow a spirit of perseverence.
Cultivate opportunities, cultivate those relationships,...

Like many things in life, we, people, learn the hard way. NO matter what the bad occasion, experience, situation, someone somewhere would have given us the advice to not get us into that situation. But, being human, inevitably selfish, we ignore them and think we can do better doing it our way.
Then IT happens.
And when IT happens, you kinda wish you had listened to that someone.

A broken and contrite heart
We long for change.
The human condition is to long for something. Something more. Something else. Something beyond.
Yet, foolishly enough, we look inward - to ourselves.
Surely the Cause of the condition we are in is from ourselves in the first place? If we want to change the world from it’s current state,it would make more sense to look OUTwards - away from our own self.
